I fell in love with working weddings right away and never looked back. There’s an honesty about blending my care for humans with my artistic soul that seems to work really well in this environment. Noticing the in-between gestures, sun puddles, textures and energy of a room that helps tell a story is what it’s all about. I love to challenge myself with each unique scenario and learn so much from each family that I get the opportunity to connect to.
Golden natural light can bring a brilliance to your photos like no other. But there’s a lot of goodness to be found in warm candlelit receptions, unique sun beams, harshly lit dance floors and soft blue hour romance. The heart of it
It’s not about the money you spend on your wedding. It’s not about the size of your guest list or the likes you get on Instagram afterward. It’s about the unwavering love that’s going to fill the room, the slow mornings to follow and the vastly unique story that you’ve only just begun.
I love capturing stories as they unfold and am inspired by the uniqueness of each day, and in turn, each relationship. You can expect warm, honest images that reflect the moment you were in and gently balanced tones that honour and respect true skin colour. I love to sketch poses and concepts by hand before each shoot. I’ve learned our intuition is wild, and often think of how many great ideas must be trapped in the safe relaxed space between our to-do lists and hustle culture — so much can change when we let ourselves feel grounded to find them. Oftentimes I’ll sit free from distractions and draw whatever pulls me as I’m thinking of your timeline and venue. I’ll fold up a page of notes and doodles and keep it with me throughout your day to act as a force of perspective. It’s the best feeling when I can be present and get lost in the unique flow of your wedding. Taking the time to set intentions beforehand really allows me to do so.

Sometimes this is beautiful, thoughtful, romantic and other times it’s messy, playful and silly! I bring analog film and polaroids with me to all weddings as an opportunity to slow down and capture stills of what I see in artful ways. Film allows us to embrace the happy accidents that these old cameras give us. I love when couples send me what’s inspiring them – be it movies, music, art and more. Couples are encouraged to let me know if analog photos are something that excites so that I know to include it in their gallery.
